In 2006-2007, It invested 3.155.000 € in 365 youth projects in the framework of the “All Different – All Equal” European Youth Campaign for Diversity, Human Rights and Participation.

Le “Livre blanc sur le dialogue interculturel” présenté ici affirme avec force, au nom des gouvernements des 47 Etats membres du Conseil de l’Europe, que notre avenir commun dépend de notre capacité à sauvegarder et à développer les droits de l’homme, tels qu’ils sont consacrés par la Convention européenne des droits de l’homme, la démocratie et l’Etat de droit, et à promouvoir la compréhension mutuelle. Il estime que l’approche interculturelle offre un modèle prospectif de gestion de la diversité culturelle. Elle me propose une conception fondée sur la dignité humaine individuelle. S’il y a une identité européenne à réaliser, elle sera basée sur des valeurs fondamentales partagées, le respect de l’héritage commun et de la diversité culturelle ainsi que le respect de l’égale dignité de chaque individu.

This booklet is not an in-depth encyclopaedia covering all aspects of Peer Education and Cultural Diversity, but it can be used as an essential guide of tips and tricks to get you moving on your own peer projects. As part of the strategy for reaching the needs of young people, SALTO Cultural Diversity and the Austrian National Agency joined forces to plan the PiPo (Peering in Peering out) training course. The idea was to bring together young people from across Europe to increase their skills and competencies to enable them to deal with Cultural Diversity issues in their projects and work with other young people in their localities.
