The Starter Kit gives an initial insight into what youth information is, the underlying working principles and functions, how to start developing youth information services and some practical information about what the various European bodies have to offer to those who want to start out in the world of youth information.
This brochure gives some examples of how non-formal learning and the Youth in Action programme contribute to building up young people’s knowledge and skills, and give them a glimpse of what it requires to seek and hold down a job or to become an entrepreneur.
The hope is to bring fresh perspectives into an old debate on the mission of youth work in changing social and economic times. It amis to open up an uncherted area that looks into the relationship between youth work (non-formal learning) and entrepreneurship. It explores the theoretical developments in the field, the dilemas and tensions, and proposes practice-oriented information: illustrative examples, strategies for action and methods of non-formal education.

Durant 4 jours, dans un loft une vingtaine de jeunes issus des quatre coins de la Communauté française de Belgiqeu ont participé au projet “FotoStory 2 – The Loft” : un atelier en résidance d’expression citoyenne et médiatique à travers la création de romans-photos. Les jeunes ont conjugué techniques scénaristiques et prises de vue photographiques dans le but d’élaborer un point de vue critique et jeune sur le thème “Murs et frontières dans l’Europe de demain”.
